Effective as of JUNE 26, 2007
The Julie Andrews Collection website (the “Website”) is operated by Wellspring LLC (“Wellspring”), which has adopted a set of privacy principles which are reflected in this privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy” or “Policy”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share personally identifiable information (“PII”) that we obtain from and about individuals located in the United States online.
From time to time Wellspring may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect industry initiatives or changes in the law, our PII collection and use practices, the features of our Website, or technology. Therefore, you should review it periodically so that you are up to date on our most current policies and practices. If Wellspring materially changes its practices regarding the collection or use of your PII, we will provide you with notice of the change and provide you with the opportunity to object to the change.
While the features and content of this Website are of interest to children of all ages, Wellspring does not collect any PII from children under 13 years of age.
COLLECTION: COLLECTION OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION BY WELLSPRING
Wellspring collects personally identifiable information (for example, information such as your full name, e-mail address, mailing address, or telephone number) in order to create or enhance our relationship with you. When we collect PII from you it is because you are voluntarily submitting the information to us (i) in order to participate in activities like games, subscription registrations, electronic newsletters, and electronic postcards, (ii) in connection with content or suggestions you submit to us, or (iii) because you want us to furnish you with products, services or information. We may also obtain PII from reputable third parties.
We may record certain data about your use of the Website so that we may collect information regarding the number and frequency of visitors to the Website, the websites that users access before and after they visit the Website, the Internet browsers used by our visitors, and our visitors’ IP addresses. Such information is aggregated and will not be tied to you in any personally-identifiable manner other than your IP address.
We use cookies to improve your experience at the Website. Cookies are small bits of information that the Website places on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies remember information about your activities on the Website and enable the operator of the Website to make your visits to the Website more enjoyable. Cookies in and of themselves do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s computer. You can program your Internet browser to warn you each time a cookie is being sent or to refuse cookies completely. Even without a cookie, you will still be able to use most of the features in the Website.
NOTICE: WELLSPRING WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH NOTICE ABOUT ITS PII COLLECTION PRACTICES
When you voluntarily provide PII to Wellspring, we will make sure you are informed about who is collecting the information, how and why the information is being collected and the types of uses we will make of the information.
At the time you provide your PII, Wellspring will notify you of your options regarding our use of your PII, including whether we will share it with outside companies (See “Choice” below). Currently, we collect PII in order for visitors interested in the Julie Andrews Collection to sign up to receive our e-newsletter and e-mails relating to the Julie Andrews Collection as well as to order and purchase products available on the website..
The Website may be linked to Internet sites operated by other companies. Some of these third party sites may be co-branded with a Julie Andrews Collection logo, even though they are not operated or maintained by Wellspring, such as websites owned and operated by publisher or our authors. Wellspring is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites operated by third parties that are linked to the Website. Once you have left this Website via such a link, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party to determine how they will handle any PII they collect from you.
CHOICE: WELLSPRING WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH CHOICES ABOUT THE USE OF YOUR PII
Wellspring will not use the PII you provide to us for purposes different from the purpose for which it was submitted, or share your PII with third parties that are not affiliated with Wellspring, unless we obtain your permission.
USE: WELLSPRING’S USE OF PII
Wellspring will use your PII provided under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.
Wellspring’s employees, agents and contractors must have a legitimate business reason to obtain access to your PII. Wellspring may share your PII with outside contractors or agents who help us manage our information activities (for example, subscription administration), but they may only use your PII to provide Wellspring with a specific service and not for any other purpose.
There may be instances when Wellspring may disclose PII without providing you with a choice in order (i) to protect the legal rights of Wellspring or its employees, agents and contractors, (ii) to protect the safety and security of visitors to our Website, (iii) to protect against fraud or for risk management purposes, or (iv) to comply with the law or legal process. In addition, if Wellspring sells all or part of its business or makes a sale or transfer of assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or business transfer, Wellspring may transfer your PII to a third party as part of that transaction.
SECURITY: WELLSPRING PROTECTS THE SECURITY OF PII
Wellspring uses reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard PII in its possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. In addition, we use reasonable methods to make sure that PII is accurate, up-to-date and appropriately complete. PII is stored by Wellspring behind firewalls. All information collected as part of a purchase transaction with the Website is stored within Wellspring’s databases and is retained solely for the purposes of documenting and servicing the purchase transaction.
ACCESS: HOW TO ACCESS, OR CORRECT YOUR PII OR STOP ALL FUTURE COMMUNICATIONS FROM WELLSPRING
Wellspring has implemented a procedure for you to access, correct, or delete your PII, and review your user preferences, if you have signed up to receive communications from us. If you would like to know the types of information that Wellspring collects from visitors to the Website, please send your request to [email protected].
If you would like to know whether Wellspring has collected PII about you and what PII we have collected, please send us the activities that you participated in on the Website which requested PII. After reviewing the relevant databases, we will confirm whether we have collected such information about you and provide a list of your PII on file.
