Julie Andrews Helps The Show Go On: A Very Special Recording …

Julie Andrews took a gamble for a worthy cause with the release of her latest children’s book, “The Great American Mousical,” co-authored with her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton (HarperCollins Publishers, May 2006).  In conjunction with the publication, she has recorded a brand new song entitled – appropriately – “The Show Must Go On”.

“The Show Must Go On” marks one of the few times Julie has sung professionally since throat surgery robbed her of her singing voice nearly a decade ago. The song was created to enhance reader experience of the book The Great American Mousical and to accompany the new web-game that features the ‘Mousical’ characters. A portion of the sales proceeds from both the book and the song are being donated to Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS.
